Privacy Policy

Effective: July 15, 2026 Last updated: July 15, 2026

blinkq ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Our Core Privacy Principle

Your calls are yours. During an active session, blinkq captures audio on your device and streams it through encrypted connections for speech-to-text processing. We do not store the original audio. No meeting bot joins your call.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account
  • Product configuration: Information about your product, ICP, competitors, and objection library that you enter to customize your coaching playbook
  • Communications: Emails or messages you send us

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Call metadata: Duration, timestamp, stage coverage, and session statistics (not the audio itself)
  • Usage data: Features used, hints generated, and interaction patterns within the app
  • Device information: Operating system and app version used for compatibility and debugging
  • Diagnostic data: Error, timing, connection, and support logs used to improve reliability. Diagnostic collection is designed not to include call audio or transcript text

1.3 Audio Processing

During active coaching sessions, blinkq streams audio to Deepgram's speech-to-text API for real-time transcription. This audio is:

  • Processed in real-time and not stored after the session ends
  • Transmitted over TLS-encrypted connections
  • Associated with your authenticated session as needed to provide the service and enforce access and usage controls

Text transcripts and derived call analysis may be stored in your account. You can disable cloud transcript storage in Dashboard Preferences. To request export or deletion, contact us at the address below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
  • Generate real-time coaching hints during your calls
  • Deliver automatic post-call analysis and debriefs for completed conversations
  • Communicate with you about updates, security notices, and support
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data based on:

  • Contract: Processing necessary to fulfill our Terms of Service
  • Consent: Where you choose optional communications or features that require consent
  • Legitimate interests: Security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
  • Legal obligation: Compliance with applicable laws

4. Data Retention

  • Account and call data: Retained while your account is active and removed following a verified deletion request, subject to legal or security requirements
  • Audio streams: Not stored — processed in real-time only
  • Client diagnostic events: Automatically removed after 90 days
  • Support log bundles: Automatically removed after 30 days
  • API latency samples: Automatically removed after 30 days

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object: Opt out of processing for marketing or legitimate interests
  • Restrict: Limit how we process your data
  • Withdraw consent: At any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise these rights, email blinkq.official@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We use technical and operational safeguards appropriate to the service, including:

  • TLS-encrypted network connections
  • Server-side storage of provider credentials rather than shipping them in the desktop app
  • Authentication, access controls, rate limits, and security event logging
  • Controlled deployments, health checks, and daily database backups

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a data incident requires notification, we will notify affected users and authorities as required by applicable law.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies:

  • Essential: Authentication, session management (required for the service to work)
  • Operational telemetry: Reliability, performance, and feature-usage events needed to operate and improve the service

We do not use third-party tracking pixels or advertising cookies.

8. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services:

  • Deepgram: Speech-to-text transcription (data processed per their privacy policy)
  • OpenRouter: LLM inference for coaching hints (data processed per their privacy policy)
  • Hetzner: Cloud infrastructure and data hosting
  • GitHub: Software release distribution

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.

10. International Transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we use the provider's contractual and legal transfer safeguards and limit the information sent to what is needed to provide the service.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
